I have not yet had a chance to post on Monday Artday. So, I dug in my archives once again and decided to post this acrylic painting I did of my Polish Uncle with his trademark side stogie making Peeekle Soup. This is my Will Rafuse inspired painting of him as a chef.
And trust me, YOU WILL have to get yourself ready to eat some of his crazy concoctions. I like to have a shot of his moonshine potato vodka first.

Wow, I hadn't seen this one. Very red. Take time and finish the "Chrissy looking out at a ship wreck painting." I think that would better show your talents as of today.
That's because I gave it to him!
I'll set up my new easel today. :-)
Hi Cindy, thanks for your comments on Fructus!
This piece is so fun. It would make a great kitchen tile-- have you ever thought of doing that? Peeckle soup sounds strange but interesting... from the ingredients it reminds me a little of Sopa de lima, which I love. I just hope none of the ashes from that stogie fall into the soup!
I have painted tiles before, and that would certainly make a great backsplash in my kitchen. I've been saving glass shards from my stained glass class too, maybe I'll mosaic around painted tiles. Great idea, you rock!
You have such a great sense of color. Congrats on your big win!
Thanks for your nice comments. I really truly enjoyed this piece!!!
