Day 5 of 21 Creative Excercise Challenge

A few posts back, I did an ink blot for "Inspire Me Thursday" and it reminded me of a lunar moth. I decided to use that idea and re-create another one in Illustrator and Photoshop. So here she is, searching for a light source in the dark.

wow! this is wonderful...I love the lightness and the detail...I tried making a few ink blots...but they were not good at all...lol

I think you may have inspired me to try it again...

Nice illo! Very translucent, which is perfect for this creature! These moths are the coolest. We've had a few around here, and I managed to get some decent macro shots of them.

Cool! this moth is very nice, seems to be glowing in that deep purple background.
I like the idea of ink blots, I may have a try :)

Very cool. I don't know anything about lunar moths, but I really like this color scheme. Nice work.

Well done. Especailly the "light in the darkness" explanation. Some times it helps an observer to know the artist's intention. It can make the art far more agreeable. I still think it is too cartoonie, but a huge improvement from the tea pot one.
